The Literacy Council celebrated its third annual Read to Succeed BBQ Feed on Saturday, June 8th at Lake Wheeler Park. Attendees came out to enjoy the fun (in spite of the uncertain weather) and dined on BBQ and listened to live bluegrass music from the Kudzu Ramblers. People bid on a range of items (everything from restaurant gift cards to one of a kind jewelry and pottery) at the silent auction. Thank you to all twelve teams that participated in this year's Trivia Night! The event was held on February 26th at the Brickhouse Sports Pub. We were glad to see everyone have a great time testing their mental prowess while winning great prizes!
